Marzano Reflective Statements
Read through elements 1, 2, and 3. These are elements straight from the Marzano Art and Science of Teaching book. The first elements describe the ideas of setting learning goals, using scales (rubrics), tracking student progress, and celebrating student success.
Read through the elements assigned. Reflect on your own teaching practice currently. Decide which items you do well and which items you would like to improve upon in your classroom. In a word document, describe the items you do well, cite examples. Then, describe the items you would like to further improve upon in your teaching and cite ways you either know you can make changes, or what further support you might need to achieve that goal.
If you would like to view the power point I was going to present at our meeting, I posted it below the submission form. It goes through learning goals and scales (rubrics). Feel free to go through it. It isn't quite as self explanatory as I would have liked it to have been, but if you would like to see some more examples of learning goals and scales, it is there for you!
Below is a submission form, submit your word document.
After submitting your reflections, click through the rest of the website, find two new things to try before our next meeting. Be ready to share one thing you tried and how it went! Check back often, I am always adding and updating the site!
